Musée Mécanique hail from Portland and create an elegant and beautiful brand of orchestrated folk. And like the band's namesake (a museum of coin-operated music boxes and novelties on Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco), the band's music hails from a different time, subtly updated to reflect a modern twist. The quintet employ accordions, saws, pedal steel, glockenspiels, strings, woodwinds -- all alongside multiple basic synthesizers. Catch the band on their European tour now underway.
